ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CS4: IN A DAY

Learn the basics of Illustrator CS4 in one day. In this course you will gain an understanding of creating vector art objects or typographic designs for print, as well as the tools, menus and palettes required to create and edit vector art object and typographic designs, using color on layers.
Prerequisite: Windows Introduction class or equivalent experience.

RESIN CASTING JEWELRY WORKSHOP

Learn the basic steps for making beautiful jewelry by creating tiny collage assemblages inside metal frames then casting your creation in a durable, fast-drying, hard-cure resin. BASIC SOAP CRAFTING FOR FUN & PROFIT

Come and learn the art of soap crafting! In this hands-on class, you’ll start with a pre-made glycerin soap base and then melt, mix, add color, and scent with essential oils or fragrance oils to make your own unique soap. After learning how to craft your own soaps using melt and pour soap bases, see how you can package and label your soaps for gifts or for sale. Supply list will be sent. Class is hands-on.

MAKE FELT BEADS/EGGS FOR THE SPRING HOLIDAY

Learn wool felting techniques while making a unique craft for the spring holidays. Spend your time making one-of-a-kind beads for a necklace or some multi-colored eggs that won’t break or spoil! Students will need to bring a plastic dishpan and towel. Most other supplies are included in the cost of the class.

ECO-FRIENDLY FURNITURE FACELIFT

Got an old piece of furniture that has seen better days? In this two-session class, our expert will help you re-envision and revamp your piece using ecologically sensitive materials and methods. In the first class, we’ll cover topics ranging from biodegradable paint removers to the basics of joint and structure repair. Bring an outdated end table, broken chair, or stool to the second class and you’ll apply your new skills to your own furniture! Get those “junk” pieces of furniture out of the basement and functional again!
